The Metro-Detroit area revels in all things spooky, exotic and repulsive during the Halloween season, and 2009 is no exception. For the second year in a row, a dark-art exhibit is coming to the area. It will feature over 200 works of art from artists around the world, including Marilyn Manson. The works are done in a large variety of mediums, and there will be performance art. While the exhibit is strategically scheduled for the spookiest time of the year, it is not Halloween themed.
The exhibit runs from October 29th to 30th (Devil's Night). A masquerade ball closes out the evening on the 30th. Featured performers at the ball include Jill Tracy, Chad M Ward, Paul Rumsey and William B Hand.
The event takes place at the Tangent Gallery / Hastings Ballroom, 715 E Milwaukee St, Detroit, MI 48202.
