Free Things to Do this Summer in Detroit

Summer nights are just balmy enough in Metro Detroit to make you want to hang outside for a while. As a result, several local communities host concerts in the park, including cities and towns in Oakland and Wayne Counties. Still other communities in Metro Detroit host outdoor movies during the summer. Granted, they often require you to BYOB, which means bring your own blanket (or lawn chair) in this case, but they're free and a great way to take in a local band or family flick.
