While the Tesla Model X was unveiled in early 2012, deliveries don't begin until 2014 so you can still get a thrill by checking it out at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
The Model X draws the eye right away with its Falcon wing doors, but it manages to retain interest as you consider the possibilities of a seven-seat electric vehicle with a lower center of gravity than those other SUVs or Minivans. The Model X also has a state-of-the-art Tesla Touchscreen and a Dual Motor AWD option that will allow the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in less than five seconds.
