2014 Sochi Winter Olympics: Athletes With Michigan Ties

Half the fun of any sport is rooting for your team or athlete. When it comes to the Olympics, it's all about who you know. Several faces at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics might look familiar to you if you're from Michigan. If they don't, they should because they were born/raised, played a sport or trained in the state.

In 2014, the athletes with Michigan ties tend to fall into three winter-sports categories: Figure Skating (which includes Ice Dancing), Ice Hockey and Speed Skating.
