In addition to Easter Brunch, there are plenty of fun family activities being held in celebration of Easter throughout the Metro-Detroit area. In addition to bunny photo ops, there are several egg hunts being held from now until Easter Sunday. Here is a list of egg hunts and other Easter events in Metro Detroit in 2012:
- Ann Arbor: The Jaycees are hosting an Easter Egg Scramble on Saturday, April 7th at Southeast Park from 11 AM to 1 PM. There will also be photos with the Easter Bunny, games, and a DJ.
- Ann Arbor: Hudson-Mills MetroPark is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on April 1st at noon. Activities include an animal show, egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Cost is $4 a child in advance / $6 at the door.
- Auburn Hills: The City of Auburn Hills is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt & Bonnet Contest on Saturday, April 7th at the Civic Center Park starting at 12 noon. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance. Admission is $2 a child.
- Canton: Heritage Park is hosting an Easter Bunny Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 31st from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Participation is $2 a child.
- Grosse Pointe Farms: An Easter Egg Hunt at Pier Park is scheduled for Saturday, March 31st at 10 AM.
- The Village of Grosse Pointe: The Hop On Down, Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 31st at 10:00 AM.
- Livonia: A Bunny Brunch will take place at the Civic Park Senior Center on Saturday, March 31st at 11:00 AM. The brunch includes pizza, chips, games and crafts. Admission is $5 per person.
- Livonia: Rotary Park at Six Mile and Hubbard is hosting an Egg Hung on Saturday, April 7th at noon (registration from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM).
- Milford/Brighton: Kensington Metropark is hosting two egg-related events, including a Toddler Egg Hunt on April 5th at 10 AM at the Farm Center ($3 per child) and The Great Egg Hunt on April 7th at 10:30 AM at Maple Beach ($3 per child).
- Northville: An Egg Hunt is scheduled at Maybury State Park on Saturday, April 7th at 11 AM. The Easter Bunny and Smokey Bear will also make an appearance.
- Royal Oak: Bunnyville will be presented by the Detroit Zoo on Saturday, April 7th from 9 AM to 4 PM. The event includes the Easter Bunny, costumed characters, games, treats, photo stations and live entertainment, including the musical The Bunny Follies. Admission is $6 for non-members with a canned food donation.
- Shelby Township: Stony Creek Metropark Nature Center is hosting an Egg Scramble on March 31st at 1 PM. that includes crafts and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Cost is $4 per child.
- Wayne: A Marshmallow Drop and Bunny Breakfast will be held on Friday, April 6th. The Marshmallow Drop will take place at the Anderson Ball Fields starting at 10 AM. The Bunny Breakfast begins at 10:45 AM at the Wayne Community Center. Breakfast is $4 to $5 depending on residency.
- Wixom: An Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled at the Gilbert Willis Park pavilion on Sunday, April 1st at 1 PM. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance.
- Woodhaven: The Easter Bunny Breakfast is set to take place on Saturday, March 31st from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Woodhaven Community Center. Cost is $5 per person. It will be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt behind the Woodhaven Community Center at 10 AM. There are four hunt times determined by age between 10 AM to 10:40 AM.
