Victorian Festival

Where: Downtown Northville
Northville's Victorian architecture provides the perfect backdrop for a festival that aims to transport you back to the 1800s. Of course, the costumed characters help to make the illusion complete. The 24th annual Victorian Festival begins with a parade and continues with storytellers, old-fashioned games, tethered hot air balloon rides, artists, stiltwalker, ventriloquists, family shows, food booths, magicians, musical entertainment, and a Victorian Saloon (adults only).
Detroit Fashion Week

Arts Alive!: After six and one-half years of renovations, the New Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) opened its doors in 2007 to show off its new design and galleries. The DIA is always brimming with events, including films, exhibits and music.
