By

After the cars are unveiled and the crowds go home, the 2013 North American International Auto Show will be remembered for a focus on the "driving experience," especially the design of the driver's cockpit. These trends not withstanding, some cars just stood out while walking amidst the glitz, glamour and 700 or so models displayed. Here are just a few photo highlights of the Detroit Auto Show 2013 Concept Cars.

Note: Concept cars are exhibited as a means of getting feedback on new ideas and designs, but not necessarily the ones described or touted as part of the display. Allpar.com provides a more thorough description of concept cars and their purpose, while Conceptcarz.com provides a good overview of the concept cars displayed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
