The lazy, hazy days of summer are often hot and humid here in Michigan. You can cool off at one of the Detroit Area's water parks and slides as listed below. Alternatively, you can check out the list of beaches in the Metro Detroit area.

Mt. Clemens: Squirt Zone and Pool with Waterslides, Metro Beach

The Squirt Zone is a spray park located within Metro Beach on the shores of Lake St. Clair. It is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and admission is free. The park includes a pool with waterslides. Admission to the pool area is $3 a person.

Sterling Heights: Indoor Water Slide, Sterling Inn (Hotel Guests Only)

Part of a Best Western resort complex, the indoor water park has a lazy river, waterscape, three-story waterslide, Vortex and Bubble Seats.

Ypsilanti: Rolling Hills County Park

Part of a Washtenaw County Park, the water park has a sand play area, wave pool, three water slides, an activity pool, lazy river and two waterscape play areas. It is open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. The park also has a concessions area, large sun deck, grassy areas, shade umbrellas and chaise lounges. There is an admission fee of $5 to $9 per car depending on whether you are a resident. There is also an admission fee into the water park of $6 to $9 per person. The fees are reduced after 5 p.m.

Waterford: Waterford Oaks Water Park, Waterford Oaks County Park

Part of an Oakland County park, the water park includes a wave pool; a three-story, group raft ride; and a dual-flume waterslide. There is also a waterscape for children with scores of interactive activities. Lounge chairs and free tubes are available. The water park is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The admission fee for residents is $8 to $12. For non-residents, the admission fee is $10 to $16.
