There are lots of options throughout the Metro-Detroit area if you choose to let someone else do the cooking on Thanksgiving. Some of the restaurants open on Thanksgiving in 2009 are listed below. You'll find something to please your palate from buffets to traditional dinners with all the trimmings.
2009 Metro Detroit Thanksgiving Restaurant Options:
Birmingham -- Townsend Hotel, Rugby Grille offers a special Thanksgiving dinner menu, including entrees of salmon, turkey and prime rib. $55+.Bloomfield Hills -- The Moose Preserve offers both its regular menu and a special holiday menu.
Clinton Township -- J. Baldwin's Restaurant offers a traditional turkey-dinner buffet with large salad and dessert bars from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. $24.99.
Detroit -- According to an article posted on The Detroit News website, there are several restaurants in the downtown area that are offering a special menu or dinner for the holiday: Fishbone's in Greektown and both Bourbon Steak and Wolfgang Puck Grille at the MGM Detroit Grand.
Harrison Township -- Gino's Surf Banquet Center offers a buffet, including turkey, roast beef and pasta. $19.95.
Holly - Historic Holly Hotel offers a Victorian Thanksgiving Dinner that includes four courses and one of three entrees: Sage-Butter Roasted Turkey, Roasted Port Shank or Native Trout. $32.
Livonia Claddagh Irish Pub is open for Thanksgiving at 4 p.m. with its full menu.
Novi -- The Thanksgiving Buffet at Rock Financial Showplace is presented from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. $22.95.
Plymouth -- Ernesto's Italian Garden offers a special Thanksgiving Buffet.
Plymouth - The Golden Fox at the Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center offers a Thanksgiving Buffet for $29.95 an adult.
Rochester -- The Brookshire at the Royal Park Hotel offers a special menu on Thanksgiving Day. The four-course meal includes a choice of three entrees: Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon, Roasted Turkey or Orange-Braised Short Ribs. $39 to $48.
Royal Oak - Lilys Seafood offers a family-style Thanksgiving feast with southern deep-fried turkey, ham and salmon. $23.
Sterling Heights - Sterling Inn offers a buffet, including turkey, roast beef, ham, seven addition entrees and 20 salads. $24.95.
Westland -- Hawthorne Valley Country Club offers both brunch and dinner on Thanksgiving Day. $16.95.
