There are lots of options throughout the Metro-Detroit area if you choose to let someone else do the cooking on Thanksgiving. Some of the restaurants open on Thanksgiving in 2012 are listed below. You'll find something to please your palate from buffets to traditional dinners with all the trimmings.
2012 Metro Detroit Thanksgiving Restaurant Options:
Birmingham -- Townsend Hotel, Rugby Grille offers a special, four-course Thanksgiving menu from noon until 2 PM. Entrée choices include salmon, turkey and prime rib for entree. $$$$.Bloomfield Hills -- The Moose Preserve offers both its regular menu and a special holiday menu.
Clinton Township -- J. Baldwin's Restaurant offers a traditional turkey-dinner buffet with large salad and dessert bars from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. $25.99 adults/$12.99 kids.
Harrison Township -- Gino's Surf Banquet Center offers a buffet, including turkey, roast beef and pasta. Dinner is served from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. $20.95 adults/$10.95 kids.
Holly –- Historic Holly Hotel offers a Victorian Thanksgiving Dinner that includes four courses. Entree choices include Roasted Peacock Farms Turkey, Madeira Braised Pork Shank, Wild Salmon, or Autumn Squash Gratinee. $32 adults/$15 kids.
Plymouth –- The Golden Fox and Fox Classic Log Cabin both offer a Thanksgiving Day Bountiful Brunch. The Golden Fox menu has several entrees, including Turkey Pie, Cavatapi Noodles, Chicken Cutlets, Baked Cajun Tilapia, Jack Daniels BBQ'd Beef Brisket, Roasted Turkey, and Loin of Pork. It costs $34.95 adults/$12.95 kids. Meanwhile, Fox Classic Log Cabin includes turkey and ham as its buffet entrees. The buffet costs $24.95 adults/$10.95 kids. Hours are 11 AM to 5 PM.
Sterling Heights –- Sterling Inn offers a buffet, including turkey, roast beef, ham, five addition entrees and a Grand Dessert Table from noon until 5 PM. $26.95 adults/$10.95 kids.
