Metro Detroit Restaurants for Mother's Day Brunch

Mother's Day is one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants in Metro Detroit, which means it is important to make reservations. Some restaurants serve their usual menu, but others specifically celebrate the event with a special menu or buffet:

• Ann Arbor –- Shalimar Restaurant offers a Mother’s Day Buffet for the mommy who craves Indian cuisine.
  
  
• Clinton Township -– J. Baldwin’s Restaurant offers a Buffet/Special Menu on mom’s special day. The buffet offers appetizers and salads. Mom then chooses an entrée and dessert that are served to the table. The price is $25.99 an adult.
  
  
• Detroit –- Gem Theatre offers a Mother’s Day Brunch with breakfast selections, poached salmon and several carving stations for $35 a person ($70 with ticket to Menopause the Musical).
  
  
• Frankenmuth –- Zehnders offers a Mother’s Day Buffet for $21.95 a person. It includes turkey and roast beef carving stations, as well as fried chicken and breaded shrimp.
  
  
• Grosse Pointe Shores –- The Edsel & Ford House offers a special Mother’s Day Brunch and Tour for $31.
  
  
• Holly –- The Historic Holly Hotel offers a plated buffet for Mother’s Day. Choice of entree includes Beef Onglet, Sea Bass or Stuffed Hen for $39.00.
  
  
• Plymouth -- Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center offers a special Mother’s Day meal in Fox Classic for $29.95.
  
  
• Rochester –- Royal Park Hotel offers a Mother’s Day Buffet in its Royal Grand Ballroom that includes several stations for breakfast, cold dishes and hot. It also has a kid’s table. $39.95.
  
  
• Shelby Township –- Cherry Creek Gulf Club and Banquet Center offers a Mother’s Day Brunch.
  
  
• Southfield -- The Skyline Club offers a buffet for mom with multiple carving stations and made-to-order omelettes and seafood. There will also be a chocolate fountain. $38.95.
  
  
• St. Clair Shores –- Summer Cruise Series offers a special Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch served on a cruise by strolling waiters for $80+.
  
  
• Sterling Heights -– The Sterling Inn in the Best Western offers a special Mother’s Day Brunch with three carving stations and six additional entrees. It also includes a dessert buffet with a chocolate fountain. Price is $22.95.
  
  
• Troy -- Maggiano’s Little Italy is taking reservations for Mother’s Day dinner. There doesn’t appear to be a special menu.
  
  
• Walled Lake -- The Michigan Star Clipper offers a special Mother’s Day dinner experience. It includes a two-hour train ride, three-course dinner and your choice from one of two live shows. Tickets are $54 an adult.
  
  
• Wyandotte -- The Italian American Hall is hosting a Mother’s Day Dinner starting at $18 (with advanced reservation).
