Concerts:

The 4th of July falls squarely in the middle of the week in 2012, which means Detroiters can look to either weekend (or both) for a proper Independence Day celebration. There are several concerts throughout the week to check out, including:

Parades:

Wyandotte: The Independence Day Parade takes place on July 4th at 10 AM and runs along Biddle Avenue.

Festivals and Events:

Dearborn: Greenfield Village celebrates with the 20th Annual Salute to America in the Walnut Grove Historic District. The event runs on several evenings from June 30th to July 4th, 2012. Each evening includes a Fireworks Finale that will be accompanied by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra performing Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overature, as well as 19th-century lawn games, picnics and food.

Mt. Clemens: The Stars & Stripes Festival takes place from June 29th to July 1st and includes fireworks, a laser show and over 100 performances on four stages.
