Summer is officially unveiled at the 55th Annual Ford Fireworks Presented by Target on Monday, June 24th at 10:06 PM in downtown Detroit.
Of course, Detroit's celebration of all things summer includes more than just one night of pyrotechnics. Detroit also hosts three days of fun and games and music leading up to the fireworks display. The 7th Annual River Days takes place from June 21st to June 23rd, 2013. Admission is $3 and $5 after 5 PM.
Street PerformersThe festival features over 25 street performers, including a living statue, Bucket Drummers, an Origami Performance, and Mind Tapped.
Over 60 musical acts will perform on three stages at the festival. The Guess Who, the O'Jays, and George Clinton and the P-Funk Allstars are scheduled on the Michigan Lottery National Stage, while local talent, including Citizen Zero, Savage Rascals, Kaleido, Josh Smith, and T $ Green's Roadwork, will perform on one of the two Local Music Stages .

Detroit ends the festival with a big bang - literally - at the 55th annual Ford Fireworks Presented by Target on Monday, June 24th. The display features over 10,000 pyrotechnics. You can watch the fireworks by staking out a location along the Detroit RiverWalk or head to the Official VIP Rooftop Party.
The fundraising party takes place on the roof of the Miller Parking Garage, just west of the Renaissance Center. It starts at 5:30 PM and includes games, entertainment and food by Andiamo.
