Generally speaking, if you choose to let someone else do the cooking on Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day, you'll find that your restaurant options fall into two main categories: Chinese restaurants or restaurants in large hotels. To help get you started, here are several Metro-Detroit Restaurants Open on Christmas in 2011.- Birmingham -- The Rugby Grille in the Townsend Hotel is offering a traditional menu on Christmas Day.
- Dearborn -- Giulio & Sons Restaurant in the Hyatt Regency is taking reservations for Christmas Day.
- Detroit -- Iridescence at the Motor City Casino is taking reservations for Christmas Day.
- Detroit -- Roast in the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel is taking reservations for Christmas Day.
- Detroit -- Wolfgang Puck Grille in the MGM Grand Detroit is taking reservations for Christmas Day.
- Holly -- The Historic Holly Hotel hosts several holiday events in December, including a traditional 12-course dinner on the 12 Days of Christmas (12/13-16, 12/20-23, 12/26-29) for $75 per person. The Holly Hotel also hosts a special Christmas Eve dinner for its Dining Club Members.
- Lincoln Park -- Chesley's Bar & Grille is open on Christmas Day.
- Livonia & Utica -- Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant is taking reservations for Christmas Day.
- Plymouth -- The Courthouse Grille is open on Christmas Eve until 6 p.m. with a special holiday menu.
- Plymouth -- 5ive, the restaurant at the Inn at St. John’s, has a Four-course prix fixe menu and Champagne toast on Christmas Eve for $55 per person.
- Rochester -- The Brookshire Restaurant in the Royal Park Hotel has a special menu on Christmas.
- Sterling Heights -- The Loon River Café is open on Christmas Day with a special menu, which includes four entrees from $16.99 to $31.99: Roasted Pork, Lobster & Shrimp, Prime Rib and Grilled Halibut.
