Generally speaking, if you choose to let someone else do the cooking on Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day, you'll find that your restaurant options fall into two main categories: Chinese restaurants or restaurants in large hotels. To help get you started, here are several Metro-Detroit Restaurants Open on Christmas in 2012 or having special Christmas-related feasts.- Birmingham -- The Rugby Grille in the Townsend Hotel is offering a traditional menu on Christmas Day.
- Birmingham, Livonia & Rochester –- Mitchell's Fish Market Seafood Restaurant & Bar is taking reservations for Christmas day.
- Dearborn, Farmington Hills & Troy -– Benihana is taking reservations for Christmas day.
- Dearborn –- Tria restaurant is taking reservations for Christmas day.
- Detroit –- Michael Symon's Roast in the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel offers American cuisine and is taking reservations for Christmas day.
- Detroit -- TAP, a sports pub at the MGM Grand Detroit, is taking reservations for Christmas day.
- Holly -- The Historic Holly Hotel hosts several holiday events in December, including a traditional 12-course dinner on the 12 Days of Christmas (12/12 through 12/23) for $89 per person. The Holly Hotel also hosts a special Christmas Cheer Tea (12/15), White Christmas Dinner Concert (12/20), Christmas Eve dinner (12/24), Boxing Day dinner (12/26), and A Cup of Christmas Tea Luncheon (12/27).
- Lincoln Park -- Chesley's Bar & Grille is having its annual Christmas Party on 12/18.
- Livonia & Utica -- Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant is taking reservations for Christmas Day.
- Plymouth -- The Courthouse Grille is open on Christmas Eve until 6 p.m. with a special holiday menu.
- Plymouth -- 5ive, the restaurant at the Inn at St. John’s, has a Four-course prix fixe menu and Champagne toast on Christmas Eve for $55 per person.
- West Bloomfield –- The Lark is hosting An Old English Holiday Feast starring a Roast Prime Beef Rib or Roast Fresh Goose, roaring fireplaces and live music fo $115 per person (12/10-12 and 12/17-19).
